JS body discusses appointment of employees in food directorate

          The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food and Disaster Management at its ninth meeting discussed Sunday the latest situation on appointment of 2,500 employees in food directorate, reports BSS.
Chaired by committee chairman M Shahajahan, the meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban also discussed the proposal of Tk 1.0 billion (100 crore) food assistance of the government of India.
Besides, the ongoing vulnerable group feeding (VGF) cards, vulnerable group development (VGD) and open market sale (OMS), test relief (TR), Kabikha programmes and procurement of paddy, rice and wheat came up for discussion in the meeting.
