RPGCL, Chinese co sign deal for installation of Kailashtilia NGL fractionation plant

          A contract was signed between Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Ltd (RPGCL) and TCC-CPTDC, China recently for installation of the 110 MTD capacity Kailashtilla NGL (natural gas liquid) fractionation plant at Golapganj in Sylhet with government financing.
The contract was signed by RPGCL Managing Director Abdul Wadud and TCC-CPTDC Vice President Gao Yan Dong at a simple ceremony in the boardroom of Petrobangla.
AMM Nasiruddin, secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, and SR Osmani, chairman of Petrobangla, were among others present on the occasion.
As per the contract, the installation of the plant will be completed by June, 2007. The plant will produce 8560 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 13140 tonnes of MS (petrol) and 14600 tonnes of HSD (diesel) per year through fractionation of NGL, which is a by-product of natural gas of the country.
