Chinese textile conglomerate China Worldbest Group Co has expressed keenness to collaborate in setting up textile project in Bangladesh with Beximco Group.
The interest was expressed when a delegation from the Chinese company visited Beximco Textiles Ltd recently. The factory is situated at Beximco Industrial Park at Kashimpur in Gazipur. It is a fully export-oriented company and South Asia's largest cotton-to-garment vertical textile complex.
The delegation was led by Azmal Kabir, representative of Worldbest Group Co in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The delegation included China Worldbest Group president's representative Ziang Chenxun and Shanghai Saiseng International Co Managing Director Liu Xizun and CEO Cheng Zheng Hao.
Beximco Textiles Chief Executive Officer Syed Naved Husain welcomed the team and briefed them on Beximco Group.
The members of the delegation observed the spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing and stitching units of the factory. They have also visited its design and product development centre, which caters to the requirements of globally reputed brands and retailers.
The two sides had discussion on manufacturing costs and profits. The Chinese businessmen appreciated Beximco Textiles' operations, production quality and the technical edge it enjoyed over other competitors, said a press release.
