T-Aman harvesting begins in B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Nov 21: Farmers have started harvesting T-Aman paddy in full swing in eight upazilas of the district, sources said.
Farmers said about fifty per cent of T-Aman crops had already been harvested.
The paddy yields production ranging from moderate to bumper while the output rate is satisfactory.
Sources said the district agriculture office fixed a target of producing over 69.60 million tonnes of T-Aman paddy from over 2.25 lakh hectares of land during the current season.
Besides, thousands of farm labourers who were out of work during the past two months are now engaged in harvesting the crops.
