Kidnappers kill Turkish engineer in Afghanistan

KABUL, Dec 15 (AFP): A Turkish engineer taken hostage in Afghanistan was killed by kidnappers after a police rescue operation ended in tragedy, interior ministry spokesman said Wednesday.
The victim, who was abducted Tuesday while working for US construction firm Louis Berger in eastern Kunar province, died as police closed in on the hostage-takers, Mashal said.
