President hosts reception for Hindu community members

President Iajuddin Ahmed and his wife Anwara Begum hosted a reception for members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Durga Puja at Bangabhaban in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
The President and his wife welcomed the guests and exchanged pleasantries with them on the occasion.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Mosharraf Hossain Shahjahan and State Minister for Water Resources Goutam Chakravarty were present on the occasion.
Ambassador of Nepal, director general of the CIRDAP, defence attaché of Indian High Commission, professors of universities and medical colleges, political and religious leaders, freedom fighters, recipients of national awards, high officials, lawyers, doctors, journalists, artistes, leaders and members of Hindu Welfare Trust, businessmen and other professionals attended the reception.
Among others, Secretary to the President M Abu Solaiman Chowdhury, MSP Major General ANM Muniruzzaman, Press Secretary M Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury, Religious Secretary Rafiqul Islam and Hindu community leaders Maj. Gen. (Retd) CR Dutta Bir Uttam and Gautam Mitra were present on the occasion.
