Dusts get stronger in tea market

Blenders/Packeteers operated in greater strength for all good liquoring types along with fairly good support from Internal Loose tea buyers. As a result, prices for these types moved up further. Pakistan and CIS were again selective and Afghanistan remained absent. Dusts were a stronger market.
CTC LEAF: 18,257 bags, 1,400c/s, and (100 bags of old season) on offer met with a strong demand at mostly dearer rates.
BROKENS: Good liquoring well made Brokens were a strong feature of the sale and were well competed for with prices appreciating by Tk.1.00 to Tk.2.00 and sometimes more. These sold between Tk.81 and Tk.85. All others also met with a good demand and were firm. Larger types saw a little more interest and tended dearer. Plainer types were about steady.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings were also well competed for and were a dearer market selling between Tk.81 and Tk.84 whilst below best met with a stronger demand and realised between Tk.79 and Tk.80. Medium and Plainer types were a firm market.
CTC DUST: 2,069 bags, and 104 c/s, on offer met with a stronger demand. Better liquoring types were dearer by Tk.2.00 to Tk.3.00 and often more following competition. Others sold around last levels with the plainer types easing slightly. Blenders were more active with good support from the Loose tea buyers.
