Ershad worried over current crises in country

Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman and former President HM Ershad expressed Sunday his worry over the current "messy situation" in Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Bangladesh Railway as well as the crises of diesel and fertilizer in the country, reports UNB.
"Train services had to be suspended due to diesel crisis, four DC-10 aircraft remained grounded and crises of fertiliser, diesel and electricity…Such a situation is never heard of anywhere in the world," he said over a lunch with editors and senior journalists at Hotel Sonargaon.
Ershad who ruled the country for nearly nine years said he used to order his ministers to take necessary action after reading reports of the daily newspapers, but it seems the present government do not take any cognizance of newspapers' reports on the grim situation in different sectors.
