Thai Airways defers date for managing Ctg airport

CHITTAGONG, Feb 2 (BDNEWS): Thai Airways International PCL has confirmed recent media reports that the implementation date for Thai to begin managing Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong has been delayed for a period of one month until March 1, 2006 following a request from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. Somchainuk Engtrakul, member of the board of directors acting as the president of Thai Airways International PCL, said the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh had contacted Thai Airways with a request to defer the implementation date set for Thai to become the operator of Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong by one month.
