Customs nab one with 179,545 euros at ZIA

A Singapore-bound Bangladeshi national was arrested from Zia International Airport (ZIA) with 179,545 euros equivalent to Tk 15.7 million just before embarking on his scheduled flight Wednesday night. Sources said Azad Mahmud, hailing from Comilla district, was about to board the flight of Singapore Airlines when the currencies were found hidden inside his shoes after scanning at 10pm. — UNB
