Taiwan-China trade up 15.9pc

TAIPEI, Dec 29 (AFP): Total trade between Taiwan and China in the ten months to October rose 15.9 per cent to 58.58 billion US dollars, the Board of Foreign Trade said today.
This was equal to 19.1 per cent of Taiwan's total external trade during the period, compared with 18 per cent a year earlier, it said.
In the 10-month period, Taiwan registered a trade surplus of 26.01 billion dollars with China, up 9.1 per cent.
